Apoeio (2011) [Public Network Space Intervention] [complete-exhibited] Harnessing the power of open source router firmware (openwrt) “hacking” to creates multiple wireless ESSIDs or “wireless hotspots”. The installation pulled material from the National Poetry Archive’s database and remixed the text into a constantly changing flow of access point names distributed live around the South Bank Center London via an array of antennas located in the Saison Poetry Library. The commission was part of the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britian.
